We chat with listener Brandon in what is the longest episode of Brazilianisms to date. We couldn't stop talking. The conversation was just that good.

All your episodes are great but this episode was exactly what I needed. Brandon has so many things in common with me! I also want to live in Brazil, work there and hopefully have a family there. The only difference s are that I am not yet married, I didn't went to Brazil and I didn't put any money aside. But with a little luck and lots of work maybe my wish to be a Brazilian will come true.
So I want to say that I loved the video, it was very informative and you talked about everything that I am interested in.
Good luck Brandon with your visa and good luck Kinsey and Milton in making many more great episodes. Like Brandon said, you are the only one who make this kind of podcast about Brazil and I want to congratulate you about this.
I have many things to say and thank but I will not occupy more space :)
Take care and hopefully we will hear Brandon again with more news.

Good episode! You should have guests more often.

Mike, thank you. I'm glad this episode was so helpful to you. We'll probably have Brandon on again someday. He was a great guest.
Cellski, thank you. I'm hoping to have more guests in the future. It has been difficult to coordinate with Milton's crazy schedule, but hopefully, that has gotten better.

There was a lot in this episode to comment on, but I would like to clear up something. Here in the U.S. of A., most of the beef we eat doesn't come from cows or bulls, but steers, also known as bullocks. Steers are castrated males.
(McDonald's burgers, at least way in 1992, were more cow than steer http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/681/do-mcdonalds-milkshakes-contain-seaweed)

Netflix is already in Brazil. The content is not the same as US Netflix (we saw some American movies available for streaming in Brazil that were not available in the US Netflix. Brazil Netflix seems to be growing but does have less content right now than US Netflix.
If you want to access US Netflix while you're in Brazil, you can get a proxy service like hidemyass.com (it's a funny name but it works very well) then simply choose your proxy location from a big list of cities around the world, giving you a virtual presence there.

Hi Netflix N. Brazil,
Yes, Simone has been using Netflix in Brazil quite a bit lately and is very enthusiastic about it. I'm very curious to see if I'll be able to access the US selection while in Brazil or if they'll limit me to the stuff available to Brazilian customers. (iTunes lets me access the US store when I'm in Brazil, since I set up my account with them when I was residing in the US and used a US credit card.)
I was very excited to find out about hidemyass.com from you. Several months ago, I scoured the internet looking for a VPN with a US address and couldn't find one. I was able to use Hotspot Shield to watch Hulu, but it wouldn't let me set a specific country, so it would never work for Netflix. I can't wait to try hidemyass.com when I get back to Brazil.
