My mom went to Romania for two years on a Fullbright scholarship to teach English and man the library in Timisoara (I will put in the diacritical marks when I figure them out!). We were sent to UCLA to learn Romanian. I was going to go with her but didn't. I should go dig up my Romanian textbook. I had a lot of fun learning what little I did.

I wish my Romanian teacher had been that creative. Perhaps I would have remembered more of it. The thing I remember best is a drinking song.
Asa bau homine bun (obviously I can't spell in Romanian anymore either).

Orionoir, my thoughts exactly.
Alicia, wow! I didn't know you studied Romanian.
Teka, I hear that the original piece is currently on display in the Yamada Language Center.

I've been toying with the idea of going to Romania on a Fulbright. I may do that afher I get my MA.
You can find the diacritical marks in the Windows character map. (start > run > type "charmap" > OK)
