Who Would You Choose?
One thing I've been thinking about lately (for no reason in particular) is who I would pick for my advisors if I was ever elected President of the US. That's not very likely to happen any time soon, but it makes for an interesting thought experiment. Here's who I came up with:
- David Brin
- Bill Clinton
- Gore Vidal
- Carol and Charlie Warady
- Ray Kurzweil
- Noam Chomsky
Leo LaporteBill Stevenson
Who would you choose?

I would choose someone who was bloody QUALIFIED and GOOD at the job, not some @$%^!! clueless appointee who just happened to drop half a billion of currency of choice into my election bankroll.
(Bitter? Moi?)

Of course, but who would be on your list? I'm also curious about what people think of my list.

I'm still waiting for my invitation to be technology advisor.

Bill, done. You've just bought your way into the White House. (Too bad I had to kick out Leo, though.)

I went ahead and built an entire executive cabinet. It's posted on my site. Turned out to be quite a challenge. I'd be curious to know your thoughts on it.

Wow! You definitely put a lot more work into the project than I did.

The problem is that by the time a person does get elected that person owes too many favours to too many people...

Yep, we need some serious voting reform.

So perhaps you don't want to give up the iPod for a Hello Kitty MP3 Player. Well, combine them - you can put your iPod onto the Hello Kitty Dock/Clock - http://www.engadget.com/2006/12/28/hello-kitty-gets-its-own-ipod-docking-station-stereo-clock/ (Just making sure I stay ahead of Leo)

You've already got the position. Leo hasn't mentioned Hello Kitty even once in any of his podcasts (not even The Daily Giz Wiz), so I think your appointment is rock-solid.
