Remember my post back in September about the software called MyLifebits that Microsoft has had under development for the past few years? (What? You mean you haven't been reading my blog religiously?) If not, feel free to go back and refresh your memory.
Until recently, Microsoft has had very little to report on the project, other than the fact that it hasn't been abandoned. Then about a month ago, they announced the development of this:
It's the prototype for the SenseCam. You keep it on you, and it takes pictures throughout the day. At the end of the day, you upload them to your computer, where the MyLifeBits software keeps them and all subsequent photos organized for you and sorted by date and time. A 128 Mb card can hold up to 2000 images! Imagine in twenty years having a huge database with hundreds of pics per day of your life going back for decades. How cool is that. CNN has an excellent article about the product.
Okay Microsoft, I want my SenseCam, and I want it now! I also want the MyLifeBits software! What's the holdup?
